First lecture I skipped for this semester Today (not counting those that had webcast), felt kindda guilty towards skipping the lecture. This is an economic lecture, and unlike other lecture that had lecture notes and powerpoint presentation. This one is like seminar-style, with the lecturer using old-school method of writing on the "white-board" with the front size decreasing from increasing distance of seating location away from the "white-board". Student have to take notes usually words by word on those written on the board and those flying out of the lecturer's mouth. I always believe that the value of 2hrs of attending "real-time" lecture far exceeds 4hrs of self-study. Yet....yeah. People like me contradicts sometimes. Skipped lecture to attend another lecture titled: The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep. Nice movie, but kindda common plot of using a story-teller to unfold the movie itself. I believe this movie sought to add to the "myth" of Loch Ness Monster (hopefully it will boost tourism to the area where the monster is believed to reside in). There is a part copied from free willie whereby Crusoe (the monster) jump over the barrier infrastuture set by the military.
This cute creature grows up too fast. So there aren't many cute scenes in the movie. Overall rating for this movie (***/out of 5).
The famous 'Surgeon's Photograph' which captured the "head and neck" of the Loch Ness Monster. Looks kind of fake to me(the neck is kindda too fat with a small pea-sized head). This picture revealed itself as a hoax in 1992.
